WORLD RECORD FISH

Vincent Yeo Hock Boon  from Segamat, on one of his many fishing expeditions, created a unique world record. On 4th April 1997, Vincent caught the world's largest Wrasse, humphead Maori. His record catch of 19.8 kg., a first for a Malaysian, took place off Platt Island, Seychelles. His catch has been acknowledged and duly recorded into the world records by the International Game Fish Association.

Vincent and his Wrasse

A jubilant Vincent Yeo and
his world record Wrasse.

Vincent is a businessman with a keen interest in angling and sports fishing. His collection of reels, rods and other fishing implements put many shops selling these items to shame. His collection is a must-see.
