Segamat's Golf Pro Segamat Country Club (SCC) has a resident Pro in the form of Khamis Jalil, who joined SCC in May 1998. Khamis runs the driving range as well as operate the pro shop at SCC. He also provides golf lessons to beginners as well as experienced golfers. At the driving range, he is the helpful guy who points out your faults and provide useful tips to improve your swing.
Khamis has been a top amateur since been a member of the Malaysia Putra Cup Team from 1978 to 1980. He has also been a member of the Malaysian team participating in the Dunhill World Cup in China in 1986. Khamis turned pro in 1980 and subsequently joined Sibu Golf Club as their resident pro. He has also been the resident pro at Sabah Golf & Country Club, Kukup Golf Resort, Port Dickson Golf Club as well as Rahman Putra Golf Club. He has been consistently ranked as Malaysia's top 10 golfer between 1986 to 1990. Before coming to Segamat, Khamis has been teaching at the Kelana Jaya Driving Range.
