Canoe Expedition On 1st March 1999, a canoe expedition was launched on Segamat River. It was organised by Syarikat Air Johor (SAJ) and the State Rakan Muda. About 200 participants using 100 canoes from local as well as neighboring districts took part. The distance covered is about 178km along the winding river from Segamat to Muar. It is expected to be completed in 4 days and 3 nights. The objective is to create awareness of the environmental aspects of the river among the local residents here.
