The Sultan of Johor, Sultan Iskandar Ibni Almarhum Sultan Ismail, passed away at the Puteri Specialist Hospital in Johor Baru at 7.08pm on Friday. He was 77 years old.

The state of Johor is in mourning now. A number of entertainment outlet in Johor Bahru closed Friday night. Most entertainment outlets closed by midnight in Segamat.
