It has been raining all night. Segamat river level has risen from 6.44m yesterday(18th Dec 2011) to 7.94m now (19th Dec. 10am). The warning level is 8.88m and the danger level is 9.30m. I have no doubt that we will reach the danger level within a few days if the rain continues.

The small containment lake in Sri Genuang has flooded. This is almost a repeat of Jan 2011 flood. Actually I believe it will even be worse because this rise in water level is even more dramatic than last year.

Please be on alert and be prepared to move if you are in the danger areas like Kg Abdullah, Bukit Siput, Paya Pulai, Bandar Utama, Kg Jawa, Jenalin, etc. Good luck.

The rain stopped for a while this afternoon but it has resumed to rain heavily now. The river level is at 8.0m now. It has risen from 4.5m to 8.0m in just 3 days. At this rate, we will reach danger level in just 1-2 days.
