Segamat.com

This month, Segamat will have two new malls opening. After years of having no shopping malls at all, we will have plenty to distract us now. Another major advantage is that these two new development will provide a lot of new jobs to Segamat.

1 Malaysia Mall is located near the Bus and Taxi Terminal (Terminal Bas dan Teksi Segamat) next to Segamat Train Station. This mall has parking spaces on the roof, children playground, overhead covered access to the Bust Terminal and a number of stores. There isnt a proper listing of shops or who the anchor tenant is in it's facebook site. However we can see from the photos that Popular bookstore, UO Superstore, The Body Shop and One Box will be some of the tenant shops.

It's main attraction will be Segamat only movie theater miniplex, Lotus Five Star. LFS will have 8 theaters with 3 different sizes. LFS is currently giving the Segamat public free viewing of it's movie as an introduction to it's facilities. All tickets will be free from 10th Dec - 15th Dec 2011.

Kipmart is the other shopping mall located at the industrial area in Taman Utama near the 3rd bridge. It is a larger mall with around 8 acres of land. Kipmart has 150 shop lots of varying size. It's facebook site is also of limited value. Not much information on tenants.{jcomments on}
